The Postnova CF2000 Centrifugal FFF Series is the first professional modular Centrifugal FFF system, controlled by the NovaFFF software which runs the entire system from autosampler to detectors. Built on three decades of FFF expertise, it offers greater flexibility, robustness, and performance than traditional particle sizer systems, enabling high resolution particle separation and sizing simultaneously.
The CF2000 offers a broad separation range, separating smaller species such as proteins and polymers from larger particles in a single run with high resolution. It is ideal for nanoparticles and also suitable for the microparticle range. Unlike traditional batch-mode particle sizing techniques, Centrifugal FFF physically separates each particle fraction prior to sizing — avoiding low size resolution and the discrimination or underestimation of smaller particles by larger ones. As with Flow FFF, no special sample treatment is required; samples can be injected directly without filtration.

Based on the Centrifugal FFF principle, the system uses a centrifugal field to separate particles by Dynamic Diffusion according to both particle size and density — a unique feature that allows separation of different particle materials with the same size. Separation can be further optimized using different eluents and temperature programs.
