About us
PAMAS develops, manufactures, services and maintains particle counters that measure particulate contamination in liquids. The highly sophisticated optical sensors are manufactured within the R & D department at company headquarters in Rutesheim, Germany.
Automatic particle counters are mainly used within the O&G Sector for the following applications: For the analysis of water based fluids in hydraulic systems including: Subsea Christmas Trees, BOP's, Flushing rigs, Wellhead Assemblies, Hydraulic Power Units, Hydraulic Accumulators, Subsea Umbilicals including corrosion / scale / wax inhibitors, Hydraulic Valves, Control Panels etc. For the analysis of injection water (Sea Water) used in Secondary Oil Recovery. For all of these applications, there are PAMAS APC's available for laboratory, field environments (including offshore), and also inline for calibrated, traceable condition monitoring.
All PAMAS instruments are designed with operators in mind to ensure easy-to-use, accurate, repeatable sampling to comply with the API and the required International Standards.

Products & Services
Automatic particle counters (APC's) are mainly used within the O&G Sector for the following applications:
For the analysis of water based fluids in hydraulic systems including:
Subsea Christmas Trees, BOP's, Flushing rigs, Wellhead Assemblies, Hydraulic Power Units, Hydraulic Accumulators, Subsea Umbilicals including corrosion/scale/ wax inhibitors, Hydraulic Valves, Control Panels etc.)
For the analysis of injection water (Sea Water) used in Secondary Oil Recovery.
For these applications, there are automatic particle counters available for both laboratory and field environments. Also inline for calibrated, traceable condition monitoring. All PAMAS instruments are designed for easy-to-use sampling.
The models of the particle counters are:
Laboratory particle counters: PAMAS AutoSampler 3, PAMAS SBSS and PAMAS FastPatch 2 GO.
Portable particle counters: PAMAS S4031, PAMAS S40 Fuel and PAMAS S40 Oil. All availble in Standard and GO versions.
Online particle counters: PAMAS S50P and PAMAS OLS50P.

PAMAS S4031 GO WG
PAMAS FastPatch 2 GO
PAMAS SVSS
Laboratory particle counter for aqueous fluids with precise flow control for contamination monitoring, size distribution analysis and component cleanliness control
The system PAMAS SVSS is a standard laboratory particle counter for pharmaceutical applications (control of parenterals, infusion solutions, ophtalmic & oral fluids) and other low-viscous liquids. The instrument may be used as “stand alone” or software controlled.
A stepper-motor-actuated precision syringe moves the sample through the laser-diode sensor at the optimum flow-rate and an accurate sample volume is achieved. Using interchangeable syringes, the PAMAS SVSS can analyse sampling volumes of different sizes, from 100 µl to 1000 ml. For small volumes, a special “Small Volume Kit” is available.
The system can be used with different light extinction sensors. The standard sensor PAMAS HCB-LD-50/50 is equipped with a flow-rate of 10 ml/min and a size range of 1 to 200 µm.
PAMAS SBSS
Laboratory particle counter for liquids with a viscosity of up to 1600 cSt with an external pressure supply and precise flow rate control
The PAMAS SBSS is a particle counting system for batch sampling. The PAMAS SBSS is the standard instrument used as a reference in many testing labs. The instrument may be programmed to measure a sample without the need of an operator, like pre-filling the internal dead volume, degassing the sample with vacuum, pressurising the sample for a number of measurement runs, and relieving pressure at the end. High accuracy and repeatability, fast purging and back flush possibility are the key benefits of the system.
PAMAS S4031 GO
The PAMAS S4031 GO is a portable particle counter that is integrated in the rugged case PAMAS GO specially developed and designed for harsh environments. It can be used for batch sampling or for online measurements. A wear resistant ceramic piston pump guarantees a constant flow. With a simple-to-use touch screen user interface operation is easy and intuitive. Up to 32 free adjustable size channels may be selected and stored in the system. The system is equipped with an integrated battery for more than three hours operation and data storage of more than 4000 measurements. Real time sample measurement data can be printed during the analysis and also be revisited and printed at anytime at a later date.
