Neutralisation Units
KYOCERA Fineceramics Europe GmbH
Decentralised neutralisation of waste-water
FRIDURIT neutralisation units ensure compliance with the pH limits specified by the authorities for waste-water from a wide range of industrial sectors. Acidic and alkaline waste-water is neutralised in the fully automatic system and fed into the waste-water sewerage system. The compact design allows decentralised installation, e.g. under workbenches or in the fume cupboard.
Kyocera neutralisation systems are made in Germany and come with a 24-month warranty.
Our neutralisation unit is suitable for treating water from highly acidic solutions with a pH value of 1 to alkaline solutions with values of up to 14 pH. This includes contaminated water with the following components: Hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and perchloric acid (thus the best known very strong acids). These acids are used in a variety of industrial applications, e.g:
in degreasing baths
in rinsing water after degreasing
in pickling waste water
in iron phosphating or zinc phosphating (used for corrosion protection and as a basis for painting components such as sheet metal)
in rinsing water from chromium-free conversion/passivation and waste water treatment during wet-chemical pre-treatment, e.g. electroplating.
Standard neutralisation units, scalable neutralisation units or individual units made by Kyocera are also used in the pharmaceutical industry, laboratory technology and in medical and hospital environments.
Other areas of application include the food industry, commercial kitchens, beverage producers, paper mills, dairies and slaughterhouses, where neutralisation systems are used to neutralise all acidic and alkaline wastewater directly at the source of emission.
Additional areas of application are production processes in which the pH value must be corrected within a process chain.
Our neutralisation units work according to the continuous neutralisation process: the pH value of the wastewater is measured using a probe and automatically adjusted with the dosing of acid or alkali. Wastewater that is too acidic is neutralised with caustic soda or potassium hydroxide solution, for example. For alkaline wastewater, on the other hand, acid, such as sulphuric acid, is added to the wastewater. The result is a neutral pH value.
Rely on high process reliability
As the operator of a wastewater treatment plant, you are responsible for compliance with the limit values. With a Kyocera neutralisation unit, you can ensure that the treated wastewater complies with the pH limit values. This is the prerequisite for compliance with environmental regulations and for occupational safety. In addition, the water can be reused in the process. An ecological and economic benefit and a requirement for sustainability in production.
Our neutralisation units have proven themselves for over 30 years in use at well-known pharmaceutical and industrial companies as well as in many laboratories worldwide. They are available in the following standard configurations.
All units can be installed retrospectively, in-house or alternatively in weatherproof enclosures up to 40 inch containers on the company premises.
Our systems are built in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations, directives, standards and rules. E.g. DIN EN 13463, DIN EN 1127, IEC 61511, RL 94/9/EG, RL 2006/42/EG, TRBS 2153, TRBS 2152, IEC 61512 (ISA88), The mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and control systems comply with the applicable DIN/ISO standards, EC machinery directives (MRL 2006/42/EG), VDMA directives and UVV regulations.
