ASKION BIOBANKING offers a modular system that covers all parts of a typical workflow, starting from controlled rate freezing, sample transfer, sample storage and documentation.

Herein the modules can be combined freely. Thanks to this and the automation (like cherry picking robot, SBS gripper) individual layouts can be realized and grown/modified over time.

In addition to this, there are helpful accessories available like adapters for legacy sample transfer or scanner to keep samples at equal temperatures during scanning/identification.

Last but not least, a consulting service is available, which goes up to turn key projects where ASKION BIOBANKING can act as a single source provider.

Hermetic Storage

The hermetic storage (HS200) is the fully automated sample storage and handling device when it comes down to maximum operator safety and reliable operation. The HS200 is available in three different sizes (S, M, L) with a capacity range up to 1.000.000 samples per HS200. The vapor phase storage in combination with the cryogenic handling temperature of down to below -130°C, archive your samples on best quality level.

Automated work bench

The automated work bench (aWB) is a modular platform. On the one hand controlled rate freezing can be performed. On the other hand you can use the cryogenic parking area in combination with cherry picking robot to handle samples from existing sample collection in a fully automated way. The aWB has also various interfaces to be linked to e.g. liquid handler to enable a fully automated sample process or to a carrier system for ultra-cold sample transfer aligning with a permanent cooling chain.

ColdEye+

Improvement in sample quality can be done at existing sample collections, when ensuring equal temperatures during sample identification and storage. ColdEye+ is the only available scanner, that can be used at room temperature, -20°C, -80°C (dry ice) and down to -150°C (vapor storage).
